William Westray Wester was born in 1771 in Southampton, Virginia. He married Mary "Polly" Edwards in 1795 in Southampton, Virginia. They had one child during their marriage. He died on March 7, 1847, in Nash, North Carolina, having lived a long life of 76 years.
